LONDON -- Israel's press savaged Republican presidential candidate Pat Buchanan as an anti-Semite Thursday.
And Russian nationalist politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky said the two could cooperate in deporting Jews, while Asian trading partners worried that Buchanan's protectionism could influence U.S. policy.
``Patrick Buchanan is a `respectable' American anti-Semite in the classic mold,'' the English-language daily Jerusalem Post wrote in an editorial.
Israel's biggest newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, commenting on Buchanan's victory in the New Hampshire primary Tuesday, wrote: ``Will a man who hates Jews and ...
