You are familiar with the story: Parent swats or paddles child. Unsympathetic witness calls police or social service agency, which rushes to child's defense. Court case ensues, with mystified and indignant parent proclaiming that the state has interfered with the time-honored right to discipline children.
Has corporal punishment been effectively banished in Colorado, as some frustrated parents claim? No, not even remotely.
