Among the rites of spring, none is more eagerly awaited than Winter Park's zany Spring Splash, an event that, quite possibly, is more fun for spectators than for participants.
The Splash is the fitting tribute to the conclusion of the ski season at Winter Park, and this year is scheduled for next Sunday. Best advice: arrive early and stake your claim to a good viewing spot on the balcony of the main lodge at the foot of the mountain. Then, get ready to party when the Splash activities begin at 11 a.m.
