TUCSON -- The Seattle Mariners know what they would like for a new stadium - Coors Field with a retractable roof.
Mariners president Chuck Armstrong was part of a task force that toured the newest major league stadiums. The group thought Camden Yards in Baltimore was nice. Ditto Jacobs Field in Cleveland. But Coors Field was the closest thing to perfection.
``We stayed at the Westin and walked to the ballpark and it was impressive,'' Armstrong said. ``It blended so well into the area. There was an elegant simplicity to Coors Field. It all blended together so well.''
