CHICAGO -- Americans will see nearly 2,000 new lower-fat foods on supermarket shelves this year. But they aren't buying - even though they said they would.
Americans still love fat, despite a glut of ``better-for-you'' products. The 10 best-
selling new food products over the past two years were mostly either heavily promoted snack foods or beer.
Dips and chips were the top three in dollar sales. Frito-Lay Tostitos Salsas were No. 1, followed by Frito-Lay Wavy Lays and Frito-Lay Baked Tostitos.
