With everything from hurricanes to blizzards blamed on global warming in recent months, scientists say it's only a matter of time before someone throws in the southwestern drought.
Not many scientists will be pushing the theory themselves, however.
``I'm surprised I haven't read it yet,'' says Henry Diaz, a meteorologist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Boulder. He's a critic of the tendency to attribute weather conditions and other current environmental events to global warming.
