Colorado furniture giant Jake Jabs has been honored in Tupelo, Miss., as an industry buyer of the year.
Jabs, a one-time guitarist for country-western singer Marty Robbins who built a $100 million-a-year furniture business, received the award Thursday at the Tupelo Furniture Market's traditional opening day ceremony.
Jabs is president and chief executive officer of Thornton-based American Furniture Warehouse of Thornton.
``This is the most fun market to come to,'' Jabs, 65, told local officials and industry representatives.
