OSLO, Norway -- President Kim Dae-jung received the Nobel Peace Prize for his fight for democracy and contribution to a recent breakthrough for peace on the Korean peninsula at an award ceremony at Oslo City Hall Sunday.
After receiving the medallion with ``for the peace and brotherhood of men'' inscribed in Latin and diploma from the Norwegian Nobel Committee chairman Gunner Berge, the 76-year-old President told the 1,100 audience that he wanted to pass the honor to ``the countless people and colleagues in Korea, who have given themselves willingly to democracy and human rights and the dream of national unification.''
