The Chicago White Sox are acting like they want to raise the white flag. The San Francisco Giants are acting like they want to raise the National League championship flag.
Chicago traded starter Wilson Alvarez and closer Roberto Hernandez - probably the team's two best pitchers - along with pitcher Danny Darwin to San Francisco for six minor leaguers Thursday.
