To hear good gospel music in Cincinnati requires little more than a trip to church on Sunday morning.
But increasingly, the music is gaining a diverse audience outside the walls of the black churches that nurtured it.
''There's a huge market for it,'' said gospel singer Charles Fold, a Grammy Award-winning Cincinnati native. ''It is now worship and entertainment music.''
That fact is on display this week, as Cincinnati has become ground zero for the gospel music industry. The Gospel Music Workshop of America opened its 30th annual convention here Saturday.
