An influential group of arts and business leaders unveiled sweeping plans Monday to transform the area around Washington Park into a unique arts community that would include a new School for the Creative and Performing Arts.
Led by Cincinnati Pops conductor Erich Kunzel, the Greater Cincinnati Arts and Education Center board presented two preliminary plans - both wide-ranging in their scope - that call for moving Cincinnati's acclaimed performing arts school into a series of buildings just south of Music Hall on the eastern side of Central Parkway.
