LEXINGTON - -- The Kentucky Horse Park will be able to keep the image of a mare and foal running in stride as its logo, thanks to an agreement reached Friday with a German photographer.
The amount of the monetary settlement with Peter Thomann was not disclosed Friday, but the Horse Park's executive director, John Nicholson, called it a small amount and a good value for taxpayers. ''It would have cost at least $20,000 to simply replace existing signage and merchandise,'' Nicholson said.
The logo was created by two designers under a personal service contract when the park was built, but its resemblance to Thomann's photo ...
