Robert Norrish had the makings of a poet - insight, wit, clarity.
But he wrote prose at Procter & Gamble and shared his passion for life with Cincinnati, working through such organizations as the Charter Committee, Southwestern Ohio Regional Transit Authority and the Better Business Bureau.
Mr. Norrish, 63, died at his Mt. Lookout home Saturday night after a long bout with cancer.
He fought to the end, believing he could reverse the disease or halt it.
''There was so much he wanted to do. He wanted to read every book in sight,'' said his wife, Dawn Denno.
