For the last five years, Kentucky wines have been developing a regional following. Now, they're going international.
The Duty-Free Shop at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport has sold about 10 cases of Springhill Vineyards' wines since August, when it began stocking the Springfield winery's products, said Chris Fisher, store manager.
''Sales have started off very strong,'' he said. The duty-free store is only open to people boarding international flights.
Some travelers have bought bottles of Springhill to take home to Germany, England and even France, where many of the world's finest wines are ...
