The Deer Hunter wasn't just a money maker at the motion-picture box office. The deer hunter is generating an estimated $200 million into Ohio's economy.
''There's no doubt,'' John Wisse of the Ohio Division of Wildlife said, ''deer hunting is big business.''
Ohio is in the midst of deer archery season (gun season starts in December), and that $200 million doesn't even include hunting licenses and deer permits, which account for another $15 million, said Wisse.
