Among the list of huge corporations winning state pollution-prevention awards this year is a tiny Cincinnati plating company that has taken an aggressive approach to environmental technology.
Leonhardt Plating Co. in Winton Place has only 20 employees. But it has joined the likes of Lucent Technologies, Ford Motor Co., Ashland Chemical and three other companies as recipients of this year's Outstanding Achievement in Pollution Prevention Award from Gov. George Voinovich. Past recipients have included Chrysler, PPG Industries and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
