If your New Year's Eve scene is club-hopping, here's a look at what some of the more popular local nightclubs are offering and where some of the best groups are playing:
The traditional downtown rock party is at the Hyatt, where the Modulators have brought in the New Year for at least a dozen years now. The band members - recalling bandleader Guy Lombardo's long association with New Year's - have begun to joke that they're becoming the Royal Canadians of Cincinnati.
Hyatt packages include a dinner buffet; the party is $50 per person and an overnight stay $195 per couple. Reservations: 579-1234.
