Mark Grace wasn't able to handle the first phone call Wednesday. He was busy feeding his infant son.
That's probably just the first change in lifestyle the veteran first baseman will be facing. Today, the Cubs - the only team Grace has known for 13 big-league years - most assuredly will inform him they will not offer salary arbitration, effectively ending his career in Chicago.
