Dominick's grocery stores joined a voluntary recall of ground beef Tuesday because of possible E. coli bacteria contamination.
The beef - purchased from American Foods Group of Green Bay, Wis. - was sold under the Dominick's label with "sell by" dates of Nov. 7-21, according to a press release from Dominick's.
All the meat the chain recalled would have a Dominick's label, spokeswoman Pat Stenberg said.
The ground beef recalled is of three types:
- Ground beef not less than 73 percent, 80 percent, 85 percent or 90 percent lean.
- Ground sirloin not less than 95 percent lean.
