Just one team separates Boone County and Holy Cross in the girls' basketball 9th Region coaches poll.
But when the two teams met in the championship of the Northern Kentucky Classic at Simon Kenton Saturday night, the Boone County Rebels showed just how good they can be.
Boone County routed Holy Cross, 80-35, reeling off 32 unanswered points in taking a 34-2 second-quarter lead.
Boone County is ranked No. 1 in the 9th Region poll. Holy Cross is ranked No. 3.
