No one is more ready for the Super Bowl than John Madden.
Madden made five trips to the Super Bowl broadcast booth as a CBS employee, before he and the NFC moved over to Fox. Unfortunately for Madden, the NFL made Fox wait three years before it could telecast its first Super Bowl - and, for TV's premiere football commentator, that's three years too many.
''Our last one was a long time ago,'' Madden says. ''You always think you're going to get back, and then you don't get back as fast as you thought it would be, and you kind of take it for granted, and you don't appreciate it as much as you should. ...
