Sets with big screens (31 inches or more) may be the big noise in TV, but they're still outsold four to one by models one size smaller: those with a 25- or 27-inch screen.
Though all but indistinguishable in appearance, 25- and 27-inch sets occupy different niches in the market for mid-sized TVs.
Twenty-seven-inch models are feature-laden and relatively expensive. They start at about $300, and a top-of-the-line model can cost as much as a low-priced big-screen TV set, $600 or more.
