Sharonville is leading an effort which would allow street vendors to sell their goods in the downtown district on Reading Road.
However, a few business owners in the community are opposed to the idea.
A half dozen merchants attended a recent public hearing to oppose the loosening of zoning restrictions involving street vendors.
''All of them were opposed to it,'' said Al Ledbetter, safety-service director, about the proposed legislation.
