Taking a cue from its next door neighbor, Union Township is adopting zoning measures to regulate cellular phone towers in residential areas.
Anderson Township - adjacent to Union - has taken similar steps since AT&T Wireless Inc. proposed erecting a cellular phone tower beside a church off Wolfangle Road.
Last week, Union Township trustees in Clermont County adopted zoning amendments regulating the placement of telecommunications towers.
Last fall, an Ohio law passed permitting townships to regulate placement of towers in residential neighborhoods.
