Boone County doesn't seem inclined to take ''Hopeful'' out of a road name.
Instead, Hopeful Church Road seems a more appropriate name than the suggested Weaver Road, said Boone County Commissioner Shirley Meihaus after listening Tuesday to residents who want to keep ''Hopeful'' in the name. The road is now called Hopeful Road.
Harold Dringenburg, president of the congregation of Hopeful Lutheran Church, said the road was named after the church was founded in 1806.
