The city of Cincinnati took another step Tuesday toward converting the Port Authority of Cincinnati and Hamilton County into a vehicle for redeveloping dozens of contaminated industrial sites in the Interstate 75 corridor.
Administrators proposed that Cincinnati City Council provide $200,000 to help create a new Port Authority for Brownfields Redevelopment in Cincinnati and Hamilton County. Local officials already have secured a $200,000 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to help fund the restructuring.
