One of the city's major concert venues has dropped TicketMaster as its ticketing service.
Bogart's, the 23-year-old Corryville rock club, has chosen to go with Select-A-Seat, the company that counts Riverfront Coliseum as its major client.
Bogart's owner Al Porkolab said he is switching not because of any dissatisfaction with TicketMaster but because Select-A-Seat is locally based.
''When people call for tickets, they get an operator that's here, that knows the club and is more familiar with our events than TicketMaster. People don't have to talk to an operator in Columbus or another city,'' he said.
