Plans to restructure the long dormant Port Authority of Cincinnati and Hamilton County to develop unused industrial sites might be delayed until a new source of funding can be found, officials said Monday.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Friday turned down a $200,000 grant proposal by the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, Hamilton County, the city of Cincinnati and community leaders to start the process, said Cindy Schrader, the chamber's director of business retention and expansion.
