Twenty years ago General Hospital was an underfunded, understaffed, underequipped city hospital for the poor. It is now a distinguished University Hospital that offers excellent care to everyone.
University Hospital has also been the major teaching hospital of the medical school for 175 years. As Dean of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, I support the restructuring of University Hospital as part of the continuing evolution of the Cincinnati General Hospital.
How did the poor people's General Hospital change to become everyone's University Hospital?
