Q: Where does eastern Europe start and where does it end?
A: The Ural mountains are generally accepted to be the eastern boundary of Europe. However, this is a geographical rather than a political frontier. British geographers consider the line running along the crest of the Urals to mark the end of the continent, but the French disagree, putting the boundary farther to the east and including the entire mountain range.
