Prominent clergyman Carlton Pearson (pastor of Higher Dimensions Family Church -- a 5,000 member multi-racial congregation; and presiding bishop of 500 churches), spent this past summer campaigning to increase African-American support for President-elect George W. Bush. Now that the contested election has been finalized, Bishop Pearson is charging his party to do much more in order to win the support of African- American voters who voted for Vice-President Gore in a 9 to 1 ratio.
