DETROIT _ I'm jealous of Zach Randolph.
Not because he's 6-feet-9, 270 pounds and has more post moves than anyone in my entire family _ and that's dating back at least three generations. Not because he's destined to be a millionaire in the NBA, and I am destined to be a poor servant of the people through this job. And not because his Nike practice jersey looks pretty darn cool.
Randolph did something at Michigan State that I could have done only with a minimum 15 semesters there.
He made a 3.5, or a B-plus, on a math exam and is on course to ace his entry-level math class this semester. I took the same class and couldn't have done that if I had ...
