Dec. 12--TELL CITY, Ky.--The Perry County Convention and Visitors Bureau on Monday night unanimously voted to hire Jeremy W. Yackle as its next executive director.
Yackle, a manager-in-training for Kroger of Owensboro and native of Tell City, will take the post Jan. 2.
"I look forward to challenging you as much as you challenge me," said Yackle, 23. "I mean that in a good way."
Yackle's hiring ends a year of turmoil for the agency, which uses local innkeeper's taxes to develop and promote tourism in Perry County. During the last 12 months, the CVB has had three different leaders.
