LOCAL WOMAN BECOMES PITTSBURGH'S FIRST

MATCHED UNRELATED BONE MARROW DONOR

PITTSBURGH, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- On Monday, a Central Blood Bank donor became the first local, matched unrelated bone marrow donor, as part of the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry.

A 31-year-old man with leukemia from Rochester, N.Y., received the donor's bone marrow at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis later that evening.
