Of the Clerk in Geoffrey Chaucer's Tales, it was said that "gladly would he learn and gladly teach." If this year's entries in the National Assocation of Printing Ink Manufacturers' (NAPIM) essay contest are a criterion, one could say the same of students in printing management courses at colleges across the country.
One of NAPIM's purposes in sponsoring this annual competition, says Executive Director James Renson, is to round out the students' education. "We want to give students seeking careers in the graphic arts industries a greater understanding of inks and how that knowledge could improve their chances for success."
