A fiscal impact study conducted by an independent consulting group has concluded that the planned community of St. Charles continues to generate financial benefits for all of Charles County.
The analysis, conducted by PA Consulting Group of Arlington, Va., "clearly demonstrates that St. Charles Communities was an asset to Charles County during the 1995 through 1999 period" studied by the economists. Similar reports conducted in 1986 and 1996 came to the same conclusion -- that taxes and revenues generated by the residents and businesses in St. Charles well exceeded the costs of services provided by Charles County ...
