Safe Transportation Systems to have 75 workers by the end of the year, hopes to have 300 by 2003
Safe Transportation Systems Inc. has opened a manufacturing facility and head office in Bellingham and plans to hire 40 people in the next six months and 75 people by the end of next year.
The company, originally formed in Canada, signed a lease in December with the Port of Bellingham for a 25,000-square-foot space near the airport and plans to build protection devices for highway truck trailers that keep them from rolling over and jackknifing.
