CAMPAIGN TRIPS; ASKS WHITE HOUSE TO INVESTIGATE
ATLANTA, July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Democratic National Chairman Paul G. Kirk Jr. today called for an investigation to determine whether public funds are being used to underwrite Vice President George Bush's campaign travel.
In a letter to White House Counsel A.B. Culvahouse, hand- delivered this morning, Kirk asserted that an examination of Bush's campaign travel "strongly suggests that he is conserving his limited remaining resources by, in effect, using appropriated federal funds to subsidize his campaign activity," thereby ...
