FOREST LABORATORIES ANNOUNCES PURCHASE OF PRODUCT
NEW YORK, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Forest Laboratories, Inc. (AMEX: FRX), an international pharmaceutical manufacturer and marketer, announced today that it has purchased the product Tessalon(R) from E.I. Du Pont De Nemours and Company for a cash payment. Tessalon is a highly efficacious cough suppressant equal in effectiveness to 20 mg. to 30 mg. of codeine without the undesirable side effects of codeine. It is also the only non-narcotic prescription antitussive available in a solid dosage form for ease of administration.
