KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 21 Asia Pulse - Property group SP Setia Bhd will invest RM390 million (US$102.6 million) next year to acquire some 600 hectares of land in the Klang Valley (Selangor) and Johor so as to increase its landbank.
Its managing director, Liew Kee Sin, said Thursday the company is negotiating with the property owners including Prolink Development whose land near the second link in Johore, SP Setia is eyeing.
"As a property developer, we will continously increase our landbank as it is our basic raw material. However, we have to carefully balance the size of land to be acquired with the company's resources," he added.
