No matter how positively the Canadian Reform Conservative Alliance (CA) tried to spin the results of Canada's 37th general election, it could not rescue one irredeemably discouraging number: 162,051. That is the paltry total increase in the number of votes the Alliance got in Ontario on November 27 compared to the 1997 election.
