Our competition (Afterwords, C&I 2000, 562) to find the link between the number of DNA nucleotides and the number of toes on an abominable snowman brought this winner from Ronald Jowitt in Beckenham, UK
Without a body, this has to be a 'thought experiment', but there is one very clear link between the four DNA bases and the four toes attributed to the Yeti, although not what is usually regarded as a causal link in which one is the cause and the other the directly traceable effect. It is, in a word, minimalism.
