Fingerprints aims American novelties toward Japanese
In 1980, a local pen and pencil maker perfected a method of printing high-quality, four-color designs on its products. Eight years later, the company has left its fingerprints across North America, and now wants to smear them all over Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
But don't call Crime Stoppers. The local dicks won't be assigned to this case.
Fingerprints of California, an El Cajon-based subsidiary of National Pen Corp., San Diego, is developing an international network of distributors for its novelty pens, pencils and plastic mugs.
