The stock in a Canadian technology company that Diamond State Ventures received when one of its portfolio companies was sold in October has been sinking with the rest of the Nasdaq market.
Diamond State, a venture capital fund operated by Arkansas Capital Corp., received about $450,000 in cash and approximately 140,000 shares of Delano Technology Corp. of Markham, Ontario, when Delano bought Digital Archaeology of Lenexa, Kan.
The stock was worth just under $13 a share -- or more than $1.8 million -- at the time. Diamond State had more than tripled its $750,000 investment in Digital Archaeology in nine months, according to ...
