British Wool Exports Increase 6.6% In 1987 for 2d-Best All-Time High

LONDON (FNS)--British wool textile exports rose 6.6 percent in 1987 to 593 billion pounds ($1.05 billion), the second-best performance in the industry's history, according to the Confederation of British Wool Textiles.

The confederation said the 1987 performance was 14 million pounds ($24.78 million) off the all-time record of 607 million pounds ($1.07 billion) in 1985.
