NORFOLK -- Norfolk Southern Corp. reported mixed results for last week on its efforts to clear congestion on its new Northern region.
In the weekly performance measures released Wednesday, the Norfolk-based railroad reported that trains slowed a little, but traffic flow through most key terminals improved.
Norfolk Southern has experienced service-debilitating congestion in the Northeast since encountering computer and train crew problems following the June 1 break-up of Conrail Inc. with CSX Transportation Inc.
