MCLEAN -- Robert Alan Hannan died early Wednesday morning, Aug. 25, 1999, at Arlington Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Hannan was born March 15, 1931, in Wheeling, W.Va., grew up in Lima, Ohio, and had been a resident of McLean, Va., for 43 years.
A graduate of Lima, Ohio, High School, Mr. Hannan received a degree in hotel, restaurant and institutional management from Michigan State University in 1953. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and was stationed at Fort Belvoir, Va. Mr. Hannan retired from Marriott Corp. in 1987 after 31 years of service.
