The calm is welcome.
While there are a few things in the Atlantic Basin that forecasters at the National Hurricane Center are keeping tabs on, there are no tropical storms or hurricanes.
Jack Beven, a specialist at the Hurricane Center, said there are three areas of disturbed weather - none expected to pose a threat in the near future.
A weak tropical wave, located about 700 miles west-northwest of the Cape Verde Islands, was running into unfavorable winds that were cutting into its upper-level circulation.
