It takes 17 steps to get to Skeeter Esposito's front door. Perched on stilts, like most Carova Beach abodes, Esposito's home, which he built with longtime sweetheart Libba Fox, is their haven of rest.
The couple lives 15 to 20 miles from the nearest food store. The roads are four-wheel-drive terrain only and, according to Esposito, ``there's not a whole lot to do, really.''
Fortunately, Esposito, 48, has gotten in touch with his creativity. He's carving buoys, hand burning wildlife images on them and painting them to resemble old fashioned working buoys. But they are so beautiful, you'd be hard pressed to throw them overboard to mark your crab pot, ...
