NORFOLK -- When a serious crime occurs in a relatively safe community, it sometimes brings residents together to find ways to keep it from occurring again.
That is one of the reasons about 100 Ghent residents gathered Monday at the Chrysler Museum of Art.
The meeting was called to address safety concerns after a Ghent man was stabbed and robbed about a block away from the art museum. The incident occurred Nov. 19 between 9 and 10 p.m. in the 300 block of Fairfax Ave. The suspect was apprehended about 10 minutes later. A band was performing in a tent outside of the museum at the time of the crime.
